Cancellation by Bushwalk
If we cancel your experience due to:
- Insufficient bookings: Full refund or alternative dates offered
- Force majeure: Full refund or reschedule option
- Safety concerns: Full refund or suitable alternative
We are not liable for additional expenses such as flights or accommodation booked independently.
Product Returns & Refunds
Return Eligibility
Products may be returned within 14 days of delivery if:
- Item is unused and in original condition
- Original packaging and tags are intact
- Proof of purchase is provided
Non-Returnable Items
- Personalized or custom-made items
- Gift cards and vouchers
- Sale items (unless defective)
- Items marked as final sale
Return Process
- Contact us at returns@bushwalk.co.za within 14 days
- Receive return authorization and shipping instructions
- Ship item back (customer responsible for return shipping costs)
- Refund processed within 5-7 business days of receiving returned item
Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective or damaged item:
- Contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage
- We will provide a prepaid return label
- Choose between replacement or full refund
- No return shipping charges for defective items
Refund Processing
Refund Method
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
- Bank transfer refunds: 3-5 business days
- EFT refunds: 2-3 business days
Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be granted for:
- Items showing signs of use
- Missing original packaging
- Damaged items (not caused by us)
Modifications and Changes
Experience Date Changes
- More than 60 days notice: Free date change (subject to availability)
- 30-60 days notice: R1,500 modification fee
- Less than 30 days: R3,000 modification fee
Guest Changes
- Name changes: Free up to 30 days before departure
- Adding guests: Subject to availability and pricing
- Removing guests: Follows cancellation policy for removed individuals
Special Circumstances
Medical Emergencies
With valid medical documentation, we may waive cancellation fees at our discretion. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover medical-related cancellations.
Travel Restrictions
In case of government-imposed travel restrictions or border closures:
- Full refund or credit voucher valid for 24 months
- Free date changes to future departures
Weather-Related Cancellations
Extreme weather may require itinerary modifications. We will provide suitable alternatives or partial refunds if significant portions cannot be fulfilled.
Vouchers and Gift Cards
- Non-refundable (except as required by law)
- Valid for 12 months from purchase date
- Can be extended for a fee if requested before expiry
- Cannot be redeemed for cash
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend or cancel your booking
- Retain evidence of services provided
- Dispute the chargeback with your financial institution
